35mm

If you follow my tweets you’ll be aware that I know own a 35mm camera a “Olympus OM-30″.  It was given to me by the last person I would ever except to own an SLR.  To be honest with you I don’t even know if its working or not, I guess I’ll find out tomorrow.  I’ve never shot full frame before.

The OM-30 was also released in 1983. It was called OM-F on some markets. It existed in chrome and in black finish.

I was in the BFI and passed by “For My Father” a photo exhibition by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Some off the best pictures I’ve ever seen. Had to be large format. I took a quick snap put it really doesn’t show how good the images are.

On the way to see one of the worst films I have ever seen in my life “Three Monkeys“, we passed the Gagosian Gallery by chance. Takashi Murakami is the artist behind covers for Kanye West’s singles, “Can’t Tell Me Nothing”, “Flashing Lights”, and “Stronger” and directs the artwork for the whole of his Graduation album.

Nikon SB600 Discontinued???

If you do follow this blog you will realise that I have been waiting for my Nikon SB600 Speedlight and another item for a little over a month now.  I thought Jessops were in going into administration.  I went around looking for an SB600 and couldn’t find one, everyone said “were out of stock, no its not discontinued”.

By absolute chance I bumped into a Nikon/Jessops rep looking for sausage rolls, I asked him whats the deal is the SB600, is it getting discontinued like the SB800.  He said yea, in a couple of weeks Nikon will be launching new products, but i’ll still get my SB600. wack!
